Short Hills, NJ, October 6, 2011 — Kubick & Kubick Inc. is proud to announce that it is one of the first to offer X Series™, Starkey’s broadest and most advanced line of traditional digital hearing aids. X Series features innovative technology including Voice iQ2, an update to Starkey’s leading noise reduction and speech preservation system, and HydraShield®2, its proprietary moisture protection system. X Series delivers hearing aids that no one else can see – from SoundLens™, the world’s first custom, invisible* and completely digital hearing aid, to Xino™, Starkey’s smallest receiver-in-canal (RIC) ever that hides virtually undetectable behind the ear.

X Series new and enhanced features include:

- Spectral iQ, which replicates hard-to-hear high-frequency sounds in lower frequencies. It is designed to enhance and expand audibility.
- HydraShield2, Starkey’s proprietary moisture protection system, making X Series hearing aids resistant to water, wax, oil and corrosion.
- Self Learning, which gradually and automatically learns patient volume control preferences for fewer manual adjustments.
- PureWave Feedback Eliminator, which virtually eliminates the annoying whistling and buzzing, or feedback, sometimes associated with hearing aids.
- InVision Directionality, which enhances Voice iQ2 by pinpointing sounds the wearer want to hear and minimizing those they don’t.
- T2 Remote, which allows the patient to adjust memory modes or volume via any touch-tone phone.
Styles.
X Series includes three new styles of hearing aids: Xino, RIC 13 and Power Plus BTE. Starkey’s new Xino and RIC 13 build off of the award-winning design language that has earned several industry honors. Xino is Starkey’s smallest RIC, hiding behind the ear where it’s virtually undetectable and fits all types of hearing loss, with receivers ranging from 40dB to 70dB Absolute Power (AP) receivers. Xino is the only 10A RIC with a configurable user control, telecoil and locking battery door that also includes all of Starkey’s leading features.
The RIC 13 is a flexible, high-performance hearing aid that delivers the battery life of a standard 13 product in a small, discreet case and includes a configurable user control for either volume or memory, as well as a telecoil, locking battery door, DAI capability and HydraShield2.
Finally, X Series offers the new Power Plus BTE that comes with a 13 battery and delivers up to 80dB of gain – providing a powerful option for patients with severe hearing loss.
SoundLens, the world’s first custom, invisible*, digital and fully programmable invisible-in-the-canal (IIC) hearing aid, also incorporates all of the new and enhanced features found in X Series.

Kubick & Kubick Hearing Center to Offer Breakthrough Technology
Resulting in More Personalized Hearing Solutions
Starkey Introduces S Series with Drive Architecture
Millburn, NJ, May 2009 — Kubick & Kubick Hearing Center is proud to announce that its staff just completed an advanced training course in Minneapolis, Minn., and can now fit a brand new hearing aid technology – Starkey’s S Series™ with Drive Architecture™.
S Series melds industry-leading technology and the patient’s lifestyle to create an unparalleled listening experience. Designed to perform in the most challenging listening situations, S Series offers options for people with any type of hearing loss – delivering maximum performance, comfort and personalization.
“Historically, hearing aids whistled and could not differentiate speech from other background noise,” said Christian Kubick, owner of Kubick & Kubick Hearing Center. “S Series takes the hearing aid to a whole new level – from eliminating feedback to providing the best performance in noisy situations and allowing wearers to use the phone comfortably. In addition, the hearing aids are sleek, stylish and nearly invisible when worn.”
S Series with Drive Architecture uses multi-core processing, similar to technology in computers, to provide three times more power than previous technology for the best performance. The instruments offer comfortable, high-resolution sound with smoother, seamless transitions between quiet and loud environments, automatically adjusting to situations and levels that are the most comfortable for the wearer. And, Starkey’s unique PrescriptFit™ hearing and lifestyle assessment ensures hearing aids match the individual’s hearing loss, lifestyle needs and ear shape – a completely personalized experience.
The S Series industry-leading features include:
Acoustic Scene Analyzer (ASA) is Starkey’s proprietary noise and environmental adaptation system that is specifically designed to help hearing aid wearers understand more speech in noisy situations, by adjusting to their ideal settings.
PureWave Feedback Eliminator solves the problem of feedback. This feature also allows Starkey to create custom products like the completely-in-the-canal hearing aids with large vents, or holes, so that the wearer doesn’t feel plugged up.
Automatic Telephone Response instantly recognizes when a phone is raised to the wearer’s ear and adjusts to the optimal setting for telephone listening.
InVision Directionality helps hearing aid wearers hold a conversation anywhere, even in noisy surroundings, by filtering out unwanted background noise so that they can hear and understand more of what is being said in front of them.
Starkey’s new breakthrough T2 technology allows wearers to use a cell or touch-tone phone to conveniently switch modes or adjust volume without using additional hardware.
